This website is operated by A.R.E. Psychotherapy. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to A.R.E. Psychotherapy. A.R.E. By visiting our site and/or booking a session or purchasing a service from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, clients, vendors, and/or contributors of content.

1. Online Services Terms

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your province of residence. In the province of Ontario, while the age of majority is 18, we provide services to minors (children and teens) with the appropriate legal consent or as permitted under the Health Care Consent Act.

The material on this site (such as blog posts or general therapy descriptions) is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for making mental health decisions without consulting a primary healthcare provider or your assigned therapist.

Prices for our therapy sessions and services are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue a Service (or any part thereof) without notice. We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, or discontinuance of the Service.

5. Professional Services

A.R.E. Psychotherapy provides mental health services through Registered Psychotherapists regulated by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

  • Geographic Limitations: While we offer virtual sessions, our practitioners are licensed to practice within specific jurisdictions (primarily Ontario). We reserve the right to limit the provision of our Services to any person or geographic region based on regulatory requirements.

  • Expectations: Therapy is a collaborative process. We do not warrant that the results of the service will meet specific expectations, as outcomes in psychotherapy vary by individual.

6. Accuracy of Billing and Account Information

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all bookings made. You agree to promptly update your information, including your email address and credit card numbers, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

Our billing practices, including insurance reimbursement and direct billing, are outlined in our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Links

Certain content or resources available via our Service may include materials from third-parties. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy of third-party websites and will not have any liability for third-party materials or websites.

8. Personal Information

Your submission of personal information through the website and during the intake process is governed by our Privacy Policy, which adheres to the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).

9. Prohibited Uses

In no case shall A.R.E. Psychotherapy, our founder, therapists, employees, or affiliates be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless A.R.E. Psychotherapy and our partners, officers, directors, agents, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the regulations set forth by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
