More About Syd

Navigating life’s challenges can often feel like an isolating journey, leaving us with little space to truly make sense of our emotions. I believe that growth is a journey of self-discovery — one that flourishes best in a safe, non-judgmental environment. With my background in both education and psychology, I offer a compassionate and empathetic space where you can untangle the threads of distress and uncover your inner resilience.

I bring specialized expertise to our clinic in the areas of neurodiversity and child development. Since 2019, I have worked extensively with children on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) and neurotypical youth, utilizing my background in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to create personalized strategies that foster communication and social skills. I understand the vital role that secure attachments play in psychological development, and I work closely with families to build trust and confidence in children as they navigate school transitions and societal pressures.

For my adult clients, I provide a nurturing setting to explore issues such as immigrant adjustment, career burnout, and trauma. Whether you are a newcomer navigating a new cultural landscape or a parent seeking to better support your child’s unique needs, my approach is rooted in "unconditional positive regard." By fostering a collaborative partnership, I help you rediscover your strengths and find peace along your life journey.

Something about me: I am a firm believer that each individual’s uniqueness contributes to the richness of our shared world. Having spent years volunteering in elementary schools and working in specialized intervention programs, I have a deep appreciation for different learning styles and cultural backgrounds. I strive to bring a warm, patient, and collaborative "vibe" to the therapy room, helping both children and adults feel safe to be their vibrant, authentic selves.
