About Clare

Have you ever felt that your thoughts and feelings are not being heard? Have you ever been told to “just don’t think too much” or that “you’re being too sensitive”? I certainly have heard those sentences a lot during my childhood and teenage years. For those who grew up in environments where logic reigns supreme and the expression of emotions is discouraged, suppressing one’s emotions can become a habit in order to fit in. Unfortunately, not properly addressing emotions can lead to numbness, emotional dysregulation and distress, as well as make it difficult to build and maintain healthy connections with those around us.

That is why I want to be a companion on your journey of self discovery, healing and growth. I aim to create a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without feeling judged or invalidated. I mainly utilise Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you explore and gain clarity on your emotional cycles and how they affect your patterns of interaction within yourself, with other people and your surroundings. Understanding these cycles is a big step towards forming new and positive experiences.

The journey of life can be intimidating and rough. I hope that I can be someone who can walk with you along the way.
